Our company originated in 2004, and helped to shape the market as it exists today. In 2011, we  acquired the very best assets and created Continuum. Our Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) software and 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) were quickly joined by Vault, our backup and disaster recovery (BDR) solution, and we have been consistently increasing and improving our services since then.

John R. Carroll

Managing Director, Summit Partners and Board Member, Continuum

John R. Carroll joined Summit Partners in 1993 from BayBank. After attending business school, John worked for Bain & Company and then rejoined Summit in 1998.

Based in Summit's Boston office, John is active in the firm's investment activities in North America, Europe and Asia, and focuses primarily on the technology sector.

During his 17 years with Summit Partners, John has served as the director of many companies. He is currently a director of Associa, Continuum, Fortegra Financial (NYSE: FRF), Help/Systems, Solid State Equipment and Systems Maintenance Services. His prior directorships include Blue Ocean Software (acquired by Intuit), Clinical Pathology Laboratories (acquired by Sonic Healthcare), FleetCor Technologies (NYSE: FLT), Innov-X Systems (acquired by Olympus Corporation) and Sybari Software (acquired by Microsoft).

John holds an AB in economics, cum laude, from Dartmouth College and a Masters in Management, with Distinction, from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Jason Glass joined Summit Partners in 2006. Prior to Summit, he worked for General Catalyst Partners, America Online and Deutsche Banc Alex Brown. Based in Summit’s Boston office, Jason is active in the firm’s investment activities in North America, Europe and Asia. His board directorships and investments include Casa Systems, Focus Financial Partners, Nomacorc and PeopleAdmin. Jason received a BBA in finance and international business with a minor in economics and French, summa cum laude, from James Madison University and an MBA, with Distinction, from Harvard Business School. In addition, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the James Madison University College of Business Executive Advisory Council.

James Foy serves on the board of Talend, LiveLook, and Dealertrack. He has also served as executive chairman at Aspect Software, which is an industry-leading single source for unified communications, including managed services, data networks, carrier services, Internet services, network monitoring and IT services. Foy also previously served as the organization's CEO and was instrumental in its continuous growth and expansion over a 12-year period that included serving more than two-thirds of the Global Fortune 50.

Continuum Veterans Foundation

There are no guarantees for veterans returning home and trying to make the transition back into private life. We want to stack the odds in their favor, so the Continuum Veterans Foundation is dedicated to helping our returning troops find jobs.

With more than 450,000 IT job openings each year, many are well suited for veterans who received technology training while on duty. Established in July 2012, the foundation provides financial support to local and national charities that focus on helping our veterans find employment, especially in the information technology field. Recently, the foundation donated $50,000 to Hire Heroes USA, which translates to helping nearly 50 veterans find jobs, most in the IT services industry.
