Continuum Acquires Managed Security Leader CARVIR, Bringing New Security Products to All MSPs

Posted June 14, 2018by Brian Downey

Introducing Continuum Security

Security is the single greatest threat to businesses today, yet the greatest opportunity for IT service providers. Therefore, we are excited to announce the expansion of Continuum Security, the advanced cyber security solution MSPs need to deliver the protections their clients demand, through the acquisition of CARVIR, a leader in monitored and managed security for the IT channel.

With this acquisition, we are able to expand our security portfolio and bring new capabilities to market, helping you meet the mounting security and compliance needs of your SMB clients. Keep reading to learn more about the acquisition and which exciting new features are available to you today.

Continuum’s Acquisition of CARVIR

The decision to bring onboard CARVIR’s technology and expertise was made in the interest of you, the MSP. Since the beginning of this year, we’ve been working with our partners in a closed beta program—sharpening and refining Continuum Security to ensure it can support even the most complex IT environments. With this acquisition, we’re able to significantly accelerate our time-to-market to bring enhanced security products and capabilities to MSPs, fueling your growth in the lucrative security space.

Additionally, this acquisition helps alleviate another pressure for today’s MSPs: the security talent shortage. We’re bringing on a world-class team of professionals with decades of proven experience in the MSP and MSSP markets. This will allow us to expand our Security Operations Center (SOC) across two locations in the United States and India, providing you with the necessary resources and expertise to protect your clients.

Enhancements to Continuum Security

There are two new and enhanced products for Continuum Security, fully supported by the Continuum SOC: Detect & Respond – Endpoint and Detect & Respond – Network & Compliance. Powered by SentinelOne, Endpoint uses enterprise-grade monitoring and analysis of endpoints to identify and remediate active security threats for SMB end-clients. Network & Compliance, meanwhile, leverages industry-leading SIEM technology from EventTracker to identify and remediate attacks within networks, to meet the requirements for common regulations like HIPAA, PCI and GLBA.

The two Detect & Respond offerings are available alongside Profile & Protect, which allows providers to define, adhere to and determine how their current services are protecting their clients against common attack vectors, such as phishing and ransomware.
