Which Cloud is Best for You?: MSPtv Episode 46

Posted November 12, 2015by Tim Lewis

Public cloud, private cloud or hybrid cloud? What does each provide and which solution is right for you? In this week's installment of MSPtv, we're joined again by Continuum's Chief Information Officer, Hunter Smith, as he gives us the the lowdown on each of the cloud offerings, including the benefits as well as the drawbacks. We will also take a look into the infrastructure of our new backup and disaster recovery platform, Continuum BDR.

Committed to upholding the strictest security standards in everything we do, we chose to align our backup strategy with IBM Softlayer for the development of our hardware-agnostic, fully managed backup and disaster recovery (BDR) platform, Continuum BDR. In so doing, our clients receive the regulation and security of a public cloud with the added layer of protection of a private cloud within. One of the main security features MSPs should look for in their backup solution is business-grade encryption. That means that your clients' data is encrypted right when you start backing up. Continuum BDR takes this one step further by restricting access to this data with an encryption key maintained only by the MSP.

To learn more about how to harden your cloud infrastructure and safeguard sensitive data, check out this latest episode and stay tuned for future MSPtv coverage on cybersecurity and Continuum BDR.
