Mandatory Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience with Linux systems administration or DevOps
  • Strong Linux skills on Debian based distributions such as Ubuntu
  • Strong working knowledge of commodity server hardware and RAID controllers
  • Experience with git a plus
  • Experience with a scripting language like python, ruby, or perl
  • Experience with continuous integration systems such as Jenkins
  • public cloud environments using one or more leading public cloud solution such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure 

Job Description

Select/implement tools, develop processes, and build scripts and software to:

  • Automate continuous software integration and delivery
  • Manage the deployment lifecycle from development, through test, staging, and production deployment in a reliable, predictable manner
  • Enable rapid, dynamic infrastructure and application provisioning and scaling across multiple public and private clouds
  • Create secure, controlled, redundant and auditable development, test and production environments in which applications are developed and operated
  • Design and implement robust application and infrastructure monitoring Automate critical functions such as security and application patching where possible, and work with engineering and other stakeholders on design ensuring that patching can be done without customer production impact.
  • Drive continuous performance improvement (speed, quality, reliability) across build and run functions Support the rapid growth and evolution of Continuums hybrid private/public cloud environments
  • Provide senior level technical support for level 3 troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Similar
  • ITIL Certification is added advantage.

Desired Skills

  • Automate continuous software integration and delivery;
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the ITIL framework (Config, Change and Release Management)
  • Experience coding and scripting for continuous software delivery and infrastructure provisioning, preferably in both Linux and Windows PowerShell, but at minimum, for the LAMP stack.
  • Solid understanding of SaaS model of software delivery.
