Hall of Fame Basketball player, NBA Champion, NCAA Champion and ESPN/PAC-12 Network broadcaster Bill Walton will appear on September 29th at Navigate 2016, presented by Webroot.

One of basketball’s most recognizable figures, Bill Walton inspires audiences with tales from his life and career. Walton played for legendary coaches and can share their leadership secrets. The most-injured player in NBA history, Walton was forced to quit the game he loved. He decided to pursue broadcasting, but first had to overcome the lifelong stutter that afflicted him. Catastrophic spinal collapse represented the toughest challenge of Walton’s life. His 37th surgery put him back together, but it was a rocky road that led to his triumphant recovery. Through it all, Walton’s determination carried him through. Bill Walton is an authentic and true original who personifies greatness and is one of the most compassionate figures in sports. He has an extraordinary record of giving back through his work with numerous charities and non-profits. For his efforts, in 2002 he received the NBA Retired Players Association Humanitarian Award. He has also penned two books: Back from the Dead and Nothing but Net.

Mr. Chisholm retired in 2013 having served for ten years as the Chairman & CEO of mindSHIFT Technologies, a provider of managed IT services to small and medium businesses throughout the US.

Prior to joining mindSHIFT in 2003 Mr. Chisholm provided business and telecom consulting to various venture capital firms.

From 1992-2001 worked as a Senior Executive for COLT Telecom. From 1996-2001 Mr. Chisholm was the President & Chief Executive Officer of COLT Telecom Group plc headquartered in London, England. Mr. Chisholm started his career at COLT in 1992 as the company’s first Managing Director.

Mr. Chisholm also held various general management positions at Teleport Communications Group, Shawmut Bank, AT&T and New England Telephone. 

Mr. Chisholm received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College in 1971 and a Masters in Business Administration from Babson College in 1982.

Mr. Chisholm is on the Board of Directors of Summit IG and Synoptek and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Cathedral High School in Boston and Babson College in Wellesley, MA.

As Vice President of Cybersecurity Services, Mike Buratowski is responsible for managing the Network Defense and Forensics business area at Fidelis Cybersecurity, including the Digital Forensics Lab. Prior to joining Fidelis, he was the Business Area Director for the Cyber Operations Solutions business and program manager for the US-CERT contract in the Cyber Division of General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems. Mr. Buratowski served in various operational roles at General Dynamics, including nearly ten years on the Defense Computer Forensics Laboratory contract as an examiner in the Major Crimes & Safety section, a network intrusion examiner in the Intrusions & Information Assurance section, and the section chief of the Imaging & Extraction section. Before his tenure with General Dynamics, Mr. Buratowski was a Police Officer with the Montgomery County, Maryland Police Department where he served as a detective in the Computer Crimes Unit. He holds a Master of Science in Forensic Studies of Information Systems from Stevenson University as well as a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland.

He was President of Sharp Imaging & Information Company of America for more than nine years and Executive Advisor at Sharp Electronics for nearly two years. Prior to Sharp, Ed served as Vice President, Direct Operations for Savin/Ricoh. He was President of Duplifax, a Canon USA Company and Director, National Accounts Division for Canon USA. He also served NeXT Object Channel Partner and Sperry Rand Corp. In September 2016, Ed was appointed Vice-Chairman of Innovolt, Inc., a provider of power-protection solutions and analytics. He previously worked with Innovolt as a strategic advisor. He is currently President and CEO at Valderus, bringing together dealerships with an innovative approach for shared profitability while retaining local management and brand identity.

Ed began his career in the office equipment industry in 1971 as a sales representative for 3M Company. He has received many honors during his career including Marketing Research Associates’ Lifetime Achievement and a BTA Lifetime Achievement, both in 2012.

At Kronos, he led a team of seven product managers and directors driving a $200 million portfolio of products. He was CEO and VP, Business Development at Clinton Foundation-Alliance for a Healthier Generation. Brian has served iManage, Ariba (now part of SAP) and Documentum (now part of EMC), among others in senior product management roles. He has a master’s degree in chemistry from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Pennsylvania State University. 

Brian has been on the Board of Advisors at CYCLE Kids, addressing the issue of inactivity and poor nutrition habits of students, as well as families and school staff, since 2012. He also served on the Board of Directors for Jericho Road Project, a group of volunteer experts who have helped non-profits deliver stronger services including strategic planning, marketing, IT, Web design and more, to communities in Massachusetts and across the country.

As Senior Director, Strategic Partners, Raymond Vrabel focuses on helping to drive the recruitment, on-boarding and launch of the strategic new partners for Continuum Managed Services. Ray focuses his time on the largest prospective partners across various selling teams (Channel Development, Office Equipment, Telecommunications, Europe and Business Development). In his role Ray will be involved in all aspects of the program including the management of the team of Tech Specialists that are currently involved with this program.

Prior to his new role he lead Continuum's Technical Account Management teams for several years as the Director of Technical Account Management. As Director of the TAM organization, Raymond defined business strategies on the Managed Service Market. Raymond is involved in building strong customer partnerships and strategic alliances with existing and new Continuum partners.

Prior to Continuum, Ray joined Zenith Infotech in 2005 and held several positions including Director of Management, Service Desk Manager, Sr. Technical Account Manager and Sr. Manager of Service Operations. He currently has over 18 years of experience in the IT industry, specializing in Managed Services, Disaster Recovery, and Cloud Solutions. Prior to Continuum and Zenith, Ray worked at ANH Refractories, a world-class provider of Refractories products, in their Service Desk Department.

Tim Weber, Director of Infrastructure Services, has been with ADNET since 1994. Tim began his career as a Systems Engineer and rapidly progressed into a leadership role in 1999. Since then, Tim has focused on the continual growth and development of ADNET’s service delivery team, and on the evolution of ADNET’s delivery model.

Tim works with our clients to develop their overall IT vision with the goal of creating a manageable and secure infrastructure, balanced efficiency in operations, and redundancy and security. While providing strategic guidance, Tim and his team also work to implement security and disaster recovery best practices, develop standards and IT service levels, and establish IT Governance models.

Tim participates within his chapter of the Heartland Technology Group, a national networking association for IT service providers. Through membership in HTG, Tim is exposed to new solutions and best practices in the technology industry that he brings to ADNET for the benefit of our clients. Tim is also a frequent speaker at industry events and strives to help his audience think differently about their IT challenges.

Tim serves his community as an Officer with the Lost Acres Volunteer Fire Department and enjoys teaching local students about fire prevention and safety. Tim maintains a blog and frequently draws parallels between his work as a firefighter and an IT advisor.

Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, Ally Hollins-Kirk is the CEO of Onestop IT Solutions. Prior to that he earned multiple technical qualifications including MCSE, Prince 2, CNA and others while providing IT services as an outsourced contractor. Ally has a Master’s Degree in English and Scottish Literature from the University of Aberdeen and a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Systems from Napier University, Edinburgh. When not working he enjoys thinking and reading and being a nuisance to his four kids.

Raffi was born in London, and raised in New Jersey, by two Armenian parents who were born in Lebanon. Raffi graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a BS in Computer Engineering and from Fairleigh Dickenson University with an MBA in Information Systems. After some engineering work, Raffi worked in Corporate IT at mid-tier financial services firms from 1995 up until starting Triada Networks in 2008. Raffi has 4 boys, coaches soccer although never played himself, is an rabid Steelers fan since the third grade and is a follower of the Queens Park Rangers now relegated from the Premier league. Raffi holds a Computer Information Systems Security Professional certification, has held political office (reluctantly).

His summers are largely spent on the boat enjoying Pittsburgh’s 3 Rivers with family and friends and winter time flies past on the ski slopes. He enjoys the outdoors and loves being around water!
