In October 2019, we were excited to announce from the IT Nation Connect mainstage that ConnectWise and Continuum were merging companies. Over the last several months, our teams have been collaborating on ways to better serve our combined partner base, which includes the knowledge we share. In an effort to streamline and make it easier to find information in one place, we’re merging the Continuum and ConnectWise blogs to one central location.

Moving forward, all Continuum blog content will live right here on the ConnectWise blog. Consider this your primary source for all resources, best practices, thought leadership, and company updates related to ConnectWise and Continuum.

As we continue transitioning to a more unified platform for the benefit of our customers, we wanted to share a little bit more about Continuum and its history. Founded in 2011, Continuum was originally a remote monitoring and management (RMM) software provider backed by a team of technology experts supporting managed services providers (MSPs) and their clients. As IT environments became increasingly complex, small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) began outsourcing more of their critical technology and infrastructure requirements to MSPs.

These MSPs, however, were facing the same complexities and new IT challenges—and therefore had their own staffing, skillset, and resource gaps within their organizations. That led Continuum to the larger mission of bridging that skills gap for our MSP partners, and aimed to develop innovative and intelligent services-enabled solutions that now support nearly every aspect of small business IT: cybersecurity, remote monitoring, backup and disaster recovery, always-on help desk support, and more.

Back in June of 2018, Continuum announced the expansion of its cybersecurity offering, Continuum Security, which would later become Continuum Fortify, through the acquisition of CARVIR, a leader in monitored and managed security for the channel. In January of 2019, Continuum acquired BrightGauge, the world’s leading business intelligence platform for MSPs.

By interpreting the trendlines and adapting our solutions accordingly, we ensure that MSPs and their customers are protected, streamlined, technologically stable, and prepared for whatever the future holds. Continuum is the most widely used services-enabled technology platform in the industry. With our open, integrated, and security-centric platform, we’re enabling some of the most profitable and predictable growth in the industry today—and helping our MSP partners deliver more value to their SMB clients.
