Job Description

  • VCP mandatory with deep technical expertise in virtualization products like vSphere, Hyper-V or Xen Server.
  • Should understand performance monitoring and configure DRS configuration for high availability of guest servers.
  • Configure new virtual servers & upgrade Hyper-v, templates and application tools as necessary.
  • Should have confidence to consult partners on designing and implementing VMware infrastructure, including storage sizing.
  • Experience of other storage technology such as netapp filer will be added advantage.
  • Should be able to troubleshoot slow performance issues on virtual servers and recommending required changes on host and guest configuration.
  • Must have experience with VMware 4 and 5 (ESX servers, Virtual Center, HA, DRS, FT clusters, VCB, vd Switch, P2V, V2V, VCB, VM provisioning experience, automation)
  • Must have experience managing VMware hosts and guests using Virtual Center (VI4/VI5).
    Experience in performance tuning of VMware servers and Virtual sessions and management of servers resources between virtual machines.
  • Must have experience with server migrations, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, upgrading and patching in VMware and SAN environments.
  • Must have experience with server consolidation using virtualization technologies.
  • Should be able to identify VMware monitoring issues (API calls) and coordinate with engineering support team to get defects resolved.
